Low Waste Makeup

Makeup products are typically made of ingredients that are bad for the environment, and packaged in materials that can be hard to recycle. Since most people who use beauty products go through several containers of them per year, this adds up to a lot of trash and possible environmental pollution. Here at Tierra Linda Beauty, we have made it a mission to change this.

Our low waste makeup is better for the environment – and for you. We use natural, biodegradable ingredients in our products, making them less likely to irritate your skin or cause other problems. If you have any extra left, you can compost or recycle it.

Most areas can recycle all of our packaging, too. The metal tins used for some of our products are readily recycled, as is the paper packaging used for our stick-type items. Some of our products come in glass containers, which can be recycled in many areas. Glass is inert in the environment, too, so it won't be harmful even in areas where glass isn't handled by the local recyclers.

We also offer low waste haircare products, and environmentally, these work like our low waste makeup. We also use the same health-forward philosophy when it comes to our ingredients. Our low waste haircare and makeup products have no sulfates, parabens, plastics, formaldehyde, oxybenzone, or other unwanted chemicals.

Finally, we top off our environmentally-friendly product design with an extra for the Earth. We work with One Tree Planted to plant a tree for every purchase you make. This organization is dedicated to restoring rainforests, and when we donate a percentage of the purchase price, they plant the tree for us (and you).
